1. Bogor Botanical Gardens
Located in the centre of Bogor and it`s a massive and very beautiful place. Great place to walk around and an even better place to take photo`s as the setting is really beautiful. Bogor Botanical Gardens wide reach 87 hektaree and has 15,000 species of trees and plants collection
One major attraction is the Bogor Botanical Gardens carrion flower (Amorphophalus titanum) for times when approaching the bloom will emit a pungent stench. This flower can reach a height of 2m and a compound flower plant world. Bogor Botanical Gardens also have Palm trees in Southeast Asia’s oldest surviving until now.
2. Presidential Palace
The Bogor Palace (Indonesian:Istana Bogor, Dutch:Het Paleis te Buitenzorg) is one of 6 Presidential Palaces of Indonesia, it is located in the city of Bogor, West Java.
The original colonial building on the site of Istana Bogor was a mansion named Buitenzorg (also Sans Souci, meaning: Without a care in Dutch), which dates back to 1745 as a country retreat for the Dutch Governors to escape the heat and diseases of Batavia. The location for the new palace was discovered by Baron van Imhoff on 10th of August 1744, in a village named “Kampong Baroe”. On the site he ordered a mansion to be built, however the construction wasn’t completed by the end of his career in 1750 and thus it was continued by his preceder Jacob Mossel.
3. Tea Plantation Gunung Mas

4. Taman Safari Zoo
Taman Safari Bogor is located near the highway between Jakarta and Bandung, West Java. It is roughly 80 kilometres (50 mi) from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta and 78 kilometres (48 mi) from Bandung.
Taman Safari Bogor covers an area of 170 hectares (420 acres)and houses a collection of 2,500 animals, including Bengal tigers, Malayan sun bears, giraffes, orangutans, hippos, zebras, cheetahs, elephants, and komodo dragons. Some, such as the Bali myna, are involved in conservation projects. The majority of the species represented are Indonesian.
Visitors are encouraged to drive through the park and it is possible to come within touching distance of most of the animals. Six wildlife shows are offered, including a Wild West Show, Dolphin Show, and Elephant Show. The amusement park section of Taman Safari also contains small rides and specialised exhibits that focus on Humboldt penguins, nocturnal animals from Indonesia and India, wallabies and kangaroos, and crocodiles. Bungalows and camping sites are available for guests who wish to stay in the park overnight.
The zoo used to exhibit two polar bears delivered from Adelaide Zoo after a breeding program. However, one of the polar bears died in 2004 while another died in 2005, both due to old age. The exhibit is now used as a penguin exhibit.
The park also features a small petting zoo built to resemble the Taj Mahal. For a small fee, guests can take photographs with baby lions, tigers, orangutans, and leopards.
5. Sirkuit Sentul
Sentul circuit is a racing circuit located in the village of Sentul, sub Babakan Madang, Bogor regency, West Java, Indonesia. This circuit is often used to hold the motor racing and the Asian F3 and recorded event ever to host MotoGP until the end of 1997. Sentul International Circuit was designed to meet the Formula One motor racing standard. The vision came to Indonesia around 1990 when Hutomo Mandala Putra, motor racing enthusiast and son of President Suharto, began promoting the construction of a track at Sentul. Racing had previously been held at the short, tight and relatively dangerous Ancol Circuit, on the Java Sea coast in north Jakarta. In August 1993, the circuit was officially opened by Suharto.
6. Paragliding / Paralayang Bogor
Hill paragliding is one place that provides paragliding peak Bogor. This exercise is initiated by the athletes paragliding.
